Simon Sinek and Geoffrey Moore to Highlight CPA2Biz Cloud User Conference on Nov. 20-22
Digital CPA: 2013 CPA2Biz Cloud User Conference, which has quickly become one of the accounting profession’s “must-attend” technology events, returns in a big way this fall with a strong slate of keynote speakers.
Digital CPA will feature presentations from bestselling business author Simon Sinek and noted tech strategist Geoffrey Moore. The event is being held Nov. 20-22 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
The conference, which had an impressive debut last year, has become a hallmark event for CPA2Biz, the technology subsidiary of the American Institute of CPAs. With three integrated tracks, bringing together technology strategy, practice development and software training, Digital CPA is designed for progressive firms that embrace technology as a catalyst for growth.
“The conference connected with firms on multiple levels last year,” said Erik Asgeirsson, president and CEO of CPA2Biz. “Firms aren’t interested in hearing about technology for technology’s sake, they want a roadmap that can lead to greater profitability and deeper client engagement.”
Like last year, the opening day of Digital CPA will feature a mix of political and economic experts who will focus on the broader operating environment for firms and small business, with insight into how this will impact the profession in the coming year.
Day 2 will kick off with Sinek, the highly regarded author of “Start With Why,” which examines how passion and the ability to inspire are often a better barometer of business success than a particular product or service. His 2009 TED talk is one of the most widely viewed videos in the history of the idea-based series.
The final day of the conference will close with Moore, a consultant and author of the influential book on technology adoption, “Crossing the Chasm.” Moore’s ongoing work with AICPA and CPA2Biz has deepened his working knowledge of the accounting profession. He’ll share key insights on the future of enterprise IT and its impact on accountants and their clients.
