When I look at most successful CPA firms, what do I see? An eye to the Future, Action, Momentum. Their leaders have chosen a smart, strategic direction and they're moving quickly to achieve their goals. They're outpacing the field.
I get the same feeling from the Digital CPA community. When I look out from the podium at our signature conference, I see firms that are laying the groundwork for the future of the profession. What's remarkable is the shared sense of purpose in this community, even among business rivals. We're building something, together. It's a different way of looking at technology and its possibilities. Technology is a bridge builder to the future.
Thomas Edison once said, "There's a way to do it better – find it." To me, that's what Digital CPA and CPA.com are all about.

The Digital CPA Conference was launched as an event offered by CPA.com and AICPA December 2012. The purpose of the conference was to help CPAs play a role in their firm's technology decisions, offer cloud-based strategies, solutions and adoption advice, as well as helping firms use technology to move away from transactional to advisory services.
Today CPA.com is moving beyond a conference toward an ongoing Digital CPA offering and community. Our goal is to become the # 1 resource for the most relevant news, innovations, advice and content for today's Digital Firm.
To be a Digital CPA requires competencies in 3 key areas:
Though this can be said for running any accounting practice, the approach and strategies are distinctly different. A Digital CPA is not just using technology, but employing it to transform their business environment to be future-ready for clients and staff. CPA.com’s Digital CPA conference, webcasts, whitepapers and more bring this community of progressive practitioners together to aid each other in propelling the profession into the future.
