Erik Asgeirsson is a technology industry veteran with expertise in cloud computing , e-commerce and business expansion. He has led CPA2Biz, the technology subsidiary of the American Institute of CPAs, since 2002.
During Erik’s tenure, CPA2Biz has posted strong financial results and added several new lines of business, including a package of leading, cloud-based software solutions that help transform client services for accounting firms. In addition, CPABiz.com has become the leading e-commerce site for the CPA profession and one of the top 500 online stores, as ranked by Internet Retailer.
Erik believes the rise of always-available data through the cloud, coupled with the maturing capabilities of smartphones and other mobile devices, represents a significant opportunity for small- and medium-sized firms to improve client service and boost profits. It’s an approach he embraces for his own business, as CPA2Biz uses the same programs it offers to CPA firms to automate payroll, billing, tax and accounting workflows.
Erik is regularly listed in Accounting Today’s annual Top 100 Most Influential People in the CPA Profession, and is a member of the DigitalNow Advisory Group, which counsels association leaders on opportunities in the digital age.
Before joining CPA2Biz, Erik held a variety of senior positions at AT&T in sales, product management and operations. In his last role, Erik was a sales director for AT&T Business Services—the company’s largest division—where he oversaw a market segment with revenues of more than $100 million.
Erik holds an MBA from The New York University Stern School of Business and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University. Early in his career, he served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Tanzania.
He lives in Rye, N.Y., with his wife and three daughters. In his spare time, Erik is an enthusiastic sailor and skier.

Michael Murray, CPA, CGMAChief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer at CPA2Biz, Michael Murray manages the financial, legal and human resources functions of the company.
Previously, Michael served in various senior finance positions at Caminus Corporation, Loral Space Communications, Ltd. and Health Management Systems, Inc. where his primary responsibility was managing the filings of numerous registration statements, including registrations of initial public offerings of both debt and equity instruments with the Securities and Exchange Commission. He started his career at KPMG where he held positions in the firm's Middle Market practice.
Michael holds a CPA license in New York State and a B.S. in Public Accounting from Pace University.

Michael CeramiVice President, Corporate Alliances
Michael really enjoys the duality of his role as an alliances professional at CPA2Biz—a business leader for a well-established company/brand within the accounting profession, at the same time partner to a portfolio of companies brimming with innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. It's a role he says "never gets monotonous, it's constantly challenging and changing."
Michael Cerami joined CPA2Biz in January 2001 as Vice President, Corporate Alliances. During this time he has been a key contributor to the company's growth through the development and execution of a market-leading alliances strategy. Michael fosters a partnership philosophy at CPA2Biz that places a greater emphasis on business strategy alignment and building long-term success.
In addition to his Alliances responsibilities, Michael oversees the company's public relations and media functions, key influencer channel (i.e. firm associations, state CPA societies, thought leader community) and relationships with the large firm community. He dedicates as much time as possible to traveling the country and meeting with CPAs to discuss their strategies for leveraging technology to improve client service and achieve growth.
Michael's previous work history includes management and business development positions at Pepsi, Searle (formerly the pharmaceutical division of Monsanto) and Collegiate Health Care.
Michael holds a B.S. in both Finance and Management from Fordham University. He lives in Connecticut with his wife and three children.

Michael HamVice President, Technology
Michael developed a passion for computers and software in high school, and remains fascinated by how technology can improve quality of life both at home and in the workplace. Based in Silicon Valley, he's spent his career working for leading-edge technology firms.
As Vice President of Technology, Michael leads product design, software development, quality assurance, network operations and corporate IT. Current CPA2Biz technology products include cloud computing solutions, mobile apps, and database infrastructure. The CPA2Biz technology team is committed to delivering best of class solutions for CPAs and financial professionals that meet the rapidly growing needs of both individuals and firms.
Michael's professional background includes leadership roles in product management and business development for technology companies ranging from startup to Global 500. Prior to joining CPA2Biz, Michael was responsible for key product lines for Rivio, NEC Electronics, Cirrus Logic, Pico Power, and American Megatrends.
He holds a B.S. in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Gregory L. LaFollette, CPA, CITP, CGMAVice President, Product Strategy
Greg is one of the most recognized and respected voices on technology within the accounting profession. He has a broad background in the field, having spent time in private practice, as an executive with a top-tier technology vendor and as an editor of a leading publication keyed to accounting technology. He is also a sought-after speaker at trade shows and conferences.
As Vice President of Product Strategy, Greg is responsible for CPA2Biz's overall product roadmap and leads the development of the company's firm-based cloud solutions.
Prior to joining CPA2Biz, Greg was a consultant to public accounting firms and to technology vendors with a focus on the accounting profession. Additionally, he was the Executive Editor of TheTechGap — the country’s first blog specifically created for the tax and accounting profession and for vendors who seek to serve that community, and Senior Manager of Tax and Technology Consulting with the Top 25 firm of Eide Bailly, LLP.
Earlier in his career, Greg served as the Executive Editor of The CPA Practice Advisor (formerly The CPA Technology Advisor), VP of Product Strategy at ThomsonReuters Creative Solutions, and founding partner at LaFollette, Jansa, Brandt & Co., LLP in Sioux Falls, SD. He served on the AICPA’s CITP Credential Committee (Chair), the National Accreditation Commission (ad hoc via the Credential CITP Committee), the Top Technologies Task Force, the TECH+ Planning Committee, and the Journal of Accountancy Technology Advisory Board.
Greg completed his professional training at Augustana College (SD) and is a CPA, a CITP, and a member of the AICPA Information Technology Division. He is a graduate and former staff lecturer at the AICPA’s National Tax Institute.
He and his wife Kaye have one grown daughter and choose to live in their hometown of Sioux Falls, SD.

David PollakVice President, Sales
As Vice President of Sales at CPA2Biz, David Pollak is responsible for leading a team of professionals selling CPA2Biz's web-based solutions to CPA firms.
Prior to joining CPA2Biz, David was president of CPA Sales Solutions in Dexter, MI, where he consulted directly with organizations selling technology solutions to accounting firms. Previously, David was vice president of sales for Creative Solutions, Inc. (a ThomsonReuters company) where he worked for 17 years leading a team of 125 sales professionals.
David is a graduate of Central Michigan University.
